On April 24, 2024 XIV Congress of Oncologists of CIS and Eurasia countries began its work in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe. The opening ceremony will be held on April 25. More than 1000 guests from Russia, CIS countries, Europe and Asia are planned to attend. On the threshold of the main events the head of the Oncology Department of KSMU, Candidate of Medical Sciences Khvostovoy V. V. visited the Tajik Republic. V. visited the Tajik Republican Oncology Center and Oncology Department of the Tajik State Medical University named after Abu Ali ibn Sino. With the head of the department, Professor Yuldashev Ravshan Zokhidovich Yuldashev and Associate Professor Soleh Abdualievich Bakiev, the ways of further cooperation were outlined, starting from joint meetings of the JRC and up to joint Olympiads, researches, publications.
Later Vladimir Vladimirovich Khvostovoy read the report “KSMU, the road long 88 years”, positioning our university as one of the leading in the world, as well as a lecture for clinical residents “Modern achievements of oncology”, where he summarized the world’s leading practices with the experience of Kursk oncologists, the achievements of the Department of Oncology and the Laboratory of Experimental Surgery and Oncology Research Institute of EM, answering questions about the professional trajectory of the future oncologist. Colleagues from Tajikistan met Vladimir Vladimirovich with oriental hospitality, noting the high level of professional erudition and teaching skills. The work of the congress continues.
