Rector of KSMU Viktor Lazarenko met with the traveler, writer, artist, priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate Fedor Konyukhov. An informal meeting took place at the grand opening of the monument to the Soviet and Russian sculptor Vyacheslav Klykov.
Fedor Konyukhov made five round-the-world voyages alone, crossed the Atlantic 17 times, and once on a rowboat. He became the first Russian to visit all the Seven Summits and to travel alone to the South and North Poles. Winner of the National Crystal Compass Award, Guinness World Records and a true living legend.
Viktor Anatolyevich discussed with Fedor Filippovich a healthy lifestyle, resources and capabilities of the human body. KSMU pays special attention to these issues. In 2020, the university was awarded the title “Healthy University”.
At the end of the conversation, Viktor Lazarenko invited Fedor Konyukhov to visit KSMU, meet with students, share his impressions of travel and the experience of leading a healthy lifestyle.
