In the period from May 29 to May 30, 2021, the championship of Kursk in powerlifting (classic bench press) and the championship of the Kursk region in weightlifting were held in our region.
This year, the KSMU powerlifting team was represented by the experienced athletes, such as Fedin Daniil and Basova Maria, as well as freshmen, Ali Akhmaev and Olga Dikaneva.
According to the results of the competition, Fedin Daniil and Basova Maria won an unconditional victory in their weight categories. Our junior Olga Dikaneva took the second place of honor in her weight category in a bitter struggle.
At the championship of the Kursk region in weightlifting in a bitter struggle, the first place in the weight category up to 96 kg. was taken by the 3rd year student of the biotechnical faculty Babkin Andrey.
