KSMU has a long history of productive and warm relationships with Belarusian universities.
On May 12, 2022, Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics of Gomel State Medical University (Republic of Belarus), Candidate of Medical Sciences Alexander Aleksandrovich Kozlovsky gave a lecture on the topic “Differential diagnosis of diarrheal syndrome of tender-age сhildren”.
The welcoming speech was made by Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics of KSMU, Doctor of Medical Science, I.I. Zhiznevskaya, who emphasized the relevance of the lecture topic in the upcoming spring-summer period. During the lecture, cause-effect relations, features of diagnosis and treatment of children`s diarrheal syndrome were considered. The issues of food allergies and proper nutrition of children were also highlighted. The lecture material aroused the interest of students of the pediatric faculty, at the end of the lecture they asked questions and recieved detailed answers from Alexander Alexandrovich. The departments plan to continue the practice of academic exchange.
On the same day, the students of the Clinical Psychology Faculty of Kursk State Medical Universityan were given an open lecture by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology of Grodno State Medical University (Republic of Belarus), Doctor of Medical Science- Boyko Svetlana Leonidovna on the topic “Psychometric development and validation of the scale of attitudes in the field of healthcare”.
The Vice-rector for Educational Work, Social Development and Public Relations, Doctor of Medical Science, Associate Professor A.A. Kuznetsova made a welcoming speech, emphasizing the relevance and empirical importance of the lecture topic.
During the lecture, the studying results of attitudes in the healthcare system and the procedure for validating the author’s methodology were considered. Students of the Faculty of Clinical Psychology listened attentively to the lecture and asked questions of the studied material .
At the end of the lecture, the dean of the Faculties of Clinical Psychology, Social Work and Economics and Management of KSMU, Professor T.D. Vasilenko, appreciated the lecturer and suggested to continue the practice of academic exchange, and also invited the colleagues of the Grodno State Medical University to participate in the upcoming scientific and practical conferences of KSMU.
