The students of the second year in the specialty “General Medicine” passed the training practice in obtaining professional skills and experience of nurse helpers. The practice took place in the hospitals №1, 4,6 of the private healthcare facility “Kursk Regional Railway Clinic Hospital Medicine”.
The students practiced under the guidance of the Head of the Department of Propedeutics of Internal diseases, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Manisimova Oksana Vasilyevna, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Petrova Lubov Ivanovna, etc.
The future doctors studying in IMI consolidated their knowledge, which they had gained during theoretical practice. The students successfully mastered the program including different manipulations like preparing and giving parental injections to patients or the procedures of various difficulty levels (feeding patients, change of bed linen and underwear, sorting different medications, sanitary treatment of patients and prevention of pressure sores, patient transportation, work with documents)
The students had the opportunity of repeating the procedures they were making during the training practice with the help of dummies and human phantoms in the training rooms of the Department of Propedeutics of Internal diseases. Group mates helped each other to practice in such medical manipulations as measuring of blood pressure, pulse, heart rate and breath rate.
The students of IMI and their mentors thanked the all staff of the private healthcare facility “Kursk Regional Railway Clinic Hospital” for their patience, involvement, understanding and help in providing of the training practice. The students and the nurses managed to build trustful relationships since the first day. They successfully mastered all professional skills and proved their knowledge with high grades on the certification exam.
