The All-Russian Day of Library Workers is celebrated on May 27.
On the eve of their professional holiday, the staff of the Kursk State Medical University Library visited the museum “A. A. Fet’s Estate”.
Afanasy Afanasyevich Fet is one of the great Russian poets whose work has been part of our lives since we were very young. The lines of his poems, the words of the popular beloved romances have firmly entered our spiritual life. Fet’s poetry is an integral part of our Russian identity.
Afanasy Afanasyevich Fet Museum in village Vorobyovka is the only undestroyed estate of the poet in Russia. The manor house in Vorobyovka is the abode of poetic inspiration and quiet family comfort, reminiscent of the life of the hospitable host and wonderful poet A.A Fet.
The estate made a vivid impression with its interior, decoration of rooms in the style of the late 19th century. Walking along the shady alleys of the park, admiring the beauty of the local landscape, the picturesque backwater, you feel awe, you are charged with the special atmosphere of the architectural and park ensemble!
The library staff expresses gratitude to the Rector’s office and the university staff’s trade union committee for their assistance in organizing the excursion.
