The Council of Student Scientific Circle of Kursk State Medical University has completed the regular annual session of the All-Russian Scientific and Educational Project “School of Science 2.0”, which helps junior students to get used to university scientific life and realize that science is closer and more exciting than it seems.
The project was held from October 22 to November 10, 2022, more than 70 students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years from all faculties of KSMU, as well as students of the Medical and Pharmaceutical College took part in it.
During the working meetings, the members of the SSC Council gave a course of lectures to students about the types of scientific works and science at KSMU. Participants learned how to conduct research and competently document the results for publication in journals or speeches at conferences.
The main difference of the project this year was the emphasis on the practical part – the participants were divided into small groups to work with statistical data, each of which was supervised by a curator.
As a result, each team made a full-fledged scientific work, and on the final day of the project, a conference was held, where participants demonstrated the results of their work and the skills gained during the project, making reports to other participants and obtaining personal certificates.
