The final monthly meeting of the student scientific circle “Russian as a Foreign Language” (SSC) was held on June 14 at the International Medical Institute of KSMU, in which foreign students who have shown a special interest to the Russian language are engaged.
The purpose of the work of the SSC is to form students’ cognitive interest in research work in the field of in–depth study of the Russian language, the development of creative potential and the expansion of the horizons of students. During a year under the guidance of the curators of the circle, Kalugina T.V. and Shumakova A.M. , students prepared presentations on various topics not only linguistic ones, but also of a regional nature, for example, “Twin words. Homonyms”, “Traditions of greeting in different countries”, “Famous doctors-teachers of KSMU”, “Direct and figurative meaning of words” and others.
The SSC meetings were held in a remote regime, but this did not influence the quality of the reports and presentations of the participants. The students were awarded diplomas for their active participation in the work of the scientific circle.
