On May 25, 2022, an international scientific and practical conference “Metabolic aspects of endocrinology” was held on the basis of Kursk State Medical University in a remote format.
The conference was organized by the staff of the Department of Endocrinology of Kursk State Medical University. The co-organizer of the conference was the Department of Social Work and Life Safety of KSMU.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss topical issues of the development of metabolic changes in patients with endocrinopathy, modern principles of laboratory diagnostics of metabolic changes in endocrine pathology, ferrostatus disorders in obese patients, changes in the composition of intestinal biota in patients with endocrinopathy, modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of metabolic diseases, social projects aimed at preserving and strengthening metabolic health, actual scientific and practical problems of forming a healthy lifestyle and effective technologies for preserving the health of young people in modern social realities.
Within the framework of the conference, 4 breakout sessions were organized:
Section 1. Microbiome as a status indicator Moderator: L.A. Zhukova – Head of the Department of Endocrinology of the Kursk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Kursk, Russia.
Section 2. Obesity is a global problem of the XXI century Moderator: Andreeva N.S. – Associate Professor of the Department of Endocrinology of the Kursk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Candidate of Medical Sciences.
Section 3. Social programs and projects aimed at preserving and strengthening health (Russian). Moderator: Ketova N.A. – Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social Work and Life Safety of the Kursk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Section 4. Social programs and projects aimed at preserving and strengthening health/ THE SOCIAL PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS AIMED AT IMPROVING HEALTH (English) Moderator: Filippovich Yu.S. – Assistant of the Department of Social Work and Life Safety of the Kursk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia
The conference was attended by students of the Medical and Pediatric Faculty of Kursk State Medical University, IMI students (the section worked in English), clinical residents of the Department of Endocrinology, endocrinologists of polyclinics in Kursk, Oryol, employees of the departments of KSMU, the Department of Pathophysiology of Sechenov Medical University, students of Yerevan Medical University, endocrinologists of the Grodno Endocrinological Dispensary, Chairman of the Charitable Association of the Disabled and patients with diabetes G. Tashkent, graduate of the International Faculty of KSMU Moviter – resident doctor (Republic of Zimbabwe).
The organizers of the conference express their gratitude to the speakers and participants of the conference. The event received a lot of positive feedbacks, all participants expressed mutual wishes for holding such events regularly.
