At KSMU, the issues of preparing a competent specialist in the conditions of modern education were discussed with the participation of the assistant to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation V. Fleka.
✅The plenary session took place in the new library of KSMU with the participation of the assistant to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Vitaly Fleka. The session was dedicated to the issues of preparing a competent specialist in the conditions of modern education. During the session, modern global trends at all stages of pre-diploma and postgraduate practical training of students, residents, and specialists were thoroughly discussed, from simulation technologies to real clinical practice.

✅The plenary session was opened by the rector of the Kursk State Medical University, honored doctor of the Russian Federation, honored scientist of the Russian Federation, professor, doctor of medical sciences, honorary citizen of Kursk, Victor Anatolyevich Lazarenko. The assistant minister, honored healthcare worker of the Russian Federation, professor, doctor of medical sciences, Vitaly Olegovich Fleka, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
✅The rector of KSMU, professor V.A. Lazarenko, reported to the participants of the event on the trajectory of practical training of a doctor at KSMU: from simulation technologies to real clinical practice. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, Prof. Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage, spoke about the exceptional value of Kursk medical education for the citizens of Sri Lanka.
✅The tasks of practical healthcare in the formation of the personnel potential of healthcare workers in modern conditions were revealed in her report by the Minister of Health of the Kursk Region, Ekaterina Vasilyevna Pismennaya. The Minister of Health of the Belgorod Region, Andrey Aleksandrovich Ikonnikov, noted the significant contribution of KSMU to the personnel potential of the healthcare system in the neighboring region.
✅Via video conferencing, the Chairman of the Arab Research Group, Head of the Radiology Center at the Beirut Arab University, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the University College of Technology, Matn Abdulrahman Chahine, addressed the participants of the plenary session with a report on “The success of KSMU in the training of foreign doctors, using the example of Lebanese graduates.”
✅The rector of the Voronezh State Medical University, doctor of medical sciences, professor Esaulenko Igor Eduardovich, spoke about the close ties between the Kursk and Voronezh medical universities.
✅Following the Russian specialists, foreign guests took the floor again. The first vice-rector for youth work, enlightenment, and education of the Ferghana Medical Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor, honorary professor U.A. Soliev, talked about the collaboration between KSMU and the Ferghana Medical Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
✅”KSMU never ceases to amaze us!” – With this phrase, the greeting to the participants of the session began by the Deputy of the State Duma, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma on Science and Higher Education, Doctor of Economics, Professor Ekaterina Vladimirovna Kharchenko.
✅The plenary session was also attended by representatives of the regional administration and the regional center, as well as the heads of medical institutions in Kursk and the Kursk region.
