The first academic council of the new year was held at the Kursk State Medical University. It was held on January 17 under the chairmanship of the rector, Professor Viktor Anatolyevich Lazarenko. Members of the Academic Council discussed the results of the research work of KSMU in 2021 and development prospects, as well as the results of primary accreditation and primary specialized accreditation of graduates in 2021. In addition, elections for positions and nomination of candidates for academic titles were held.

The official part was preceded by a solemn one.

On behalf of the university staff, the rector congratulated the head of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Botany, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Valentina Nikolaevna Bubenchikova on her anniversary. Then the diplomas of candidates of medical sciences were presented to: Assistant of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy Soldatova Darya Sergeevna; assistant of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatrics of the Institute of Continuing Education Severinov Dmitry Andreevich; assistant of the Federal Accreditation Center Victoria Valerievna Savich.

During the official part, the members of the Academic Council heard and discussed the report of the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovative Development, Professor V.A. Lipatov “Results of the research work of KSMU in 2020 and development prospects.” The UN has declared 2022 as the International Year of Basic Sciences for the Sustainable Development of the World. In this regard, it was decided to form an organizing committee for the preparation and holding of events within the framework of the thematic year. It was decided to attract pharmaceutical companies to organize and conduct preclinical studies of medicines for medical use on the basis of the university, and to acquire the results of intellectual activity. To conduct preclinical trials of implantable medical devices, the laboratory of the Research Institute of Electromaterials will be accredited.

After hearing the report of the head of the Federal Accreditation Center (FAC) I.I. For a long time, the members of the Academic Council decided to form a plan for conducting educational events on the issues of accreditation of specialists with the University staff and members of the accreditation commissions, to optimize the information on the website in the “Accreditation of specialists” section. For potential accreditees, webinars on primary, primary specialized and periodic accreditation of specialists will be held.

Also, the scientific council approved a plan of scientific work, in terms of work carried out within the framework of the state task for 2022; calendar plan for training specialists in programs of additional professional education, professional retraining and advanced training for 2022; the number of places under contracts for the provision of paid educational services (non-budgetary form of education) for educational programs of higher education – bachelor’s programs, specialist’s programs, master’s programs;

Approved: additional professional training programs; additional professional programs of professional retraining; additional general developmental programs implemented by the Center for Pre-university Training and Career Guidance of the Institute of Continuing Education of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education KSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia.

Changes have been made to the price list of the cost of paid educational services when educating citizens under additional professional programs for advanced training and professional retraining at the Institute of Continuing Education.
