On January 30, 2023, a solemn meeting on 48th graduation of  Kursk International Medical Institute students in the specialty  “General medicine” was held.

Diplomas were presented to 191 graduates from 11 countries: India, Malaysia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Thailand, Maldives, Namibia, the South African Republic, Ecuador and Cyprus.

The participants of the meeting were: Rector of Kursk Medical University, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Surgical Diseases of the Institute of Continuing education, Deputy of the Kursk Regional Duma of the 7th convocation, Honorary Citizen of Kursk, Victor Anatolyevich  Lazarenko; Vice-Governor of the Kursk Region, Honored Worker of Health Services of the Russian Federation, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Aleksey Vasilyevich  Belostotsky; Minister of Culture of the Kursk Region, Yulia Nikolayevna Poletykina; First Vice Minister of National and Youth Social Policy of the Kursk Region, Vladimir Vladimirovich Grebenkin; First Vice Minister of Health of the Kursk Region, Evgeny Evgenyevich Goryvodsky; Head Doctor of Regional State Government Health Institution “Kursk Regional Children’s Hospital”, Deputy of the Kursk Regional Duma of the 7th convocation, Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy, Family Policy and Health, Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Igor Vasilyevich Zorya; Deputy of the Kursk Regional Duma of the 7th convocation, Vice Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy, Family Policy and Health of the Kursk Regional Duma, Nikolay Ignatyevich Panibratov; Vice Chairman of the Standing Commission on Legislation, Local Self-Government and Interparliamentary Ties of the Kursk Regional Duma, Deputy of the Kursk Regional Duma of the 7th convocation, Associate Professor, Candidate of Social Sciences, Irina Vladimirova Antsyferova; Senior Consultant of Administration of Vocational Education, Higher Education and Science of  the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kursk Region, Anastasya Borisovna Matveeva; General Director of the Kursk Regional Public Organization, All-Russian Public Organization of  Veterans (pensioners) of War, Labor, the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement, Gennady Andreevich Vetrov; prorectors, employees and students of IMI KSMU.

Rector of Kursk Medical University, Victor Anatolyevich  Lazarenko addressed the guests with a welcoming speech, he also congratulated the graduates and their parents on receiving diplomas and wished them to be responsible in the profession, love their patients and study medicine throughout their lives. Three the most enthusiastic graduates were rewarded by Victor Anatolyevich with commemorative medals for participating in the volunteer activities at the university and fighting against COVID-19.

Vice-Governor of the Kursk Region, Aleksey Vasilyevich  Belostotsky congratulated the graduates on obtaining diplomas in the specialty  “General medicine”. And having remembered the words of the eminent doctor and his mentor, a great tuberculosis specialist and surgeon,  Mikhail Izrailevich Perelman about the necessity of curing patients, but diseases, he wished them to work successfully in their countries.

Five graduates with honors degree were rewarded with the breast signs of KSMU from the Rector.

The graduates and their parents received congratulations from the honored guests, who wished the students to become real specialists and always remember the years of studying in Kursk with warm hearts.

The meeting traditionally finished, when the graduates of IMI KSMU gave presents and performed the musical gift!
