The meeting took place as part of the folklore program “Holiday of Light, Holiday of Faith.” It was dedicated to the great Christian holiday of Easter, with the program prepared by clergy and parishioners of one of the churches in Kursk.
The students heard a story about the origins of the holiday, its symbols and heroes, and learned what “kulich” is and why Christians dye eggs in preparation for the celebration. The melodies of Easter songs and their bright, soulful sound left no one indifferent.
These types of meetings are held as part of educational and sociocultural work and contribute to integrating students into the cultural context of Russian reality.
