On April 16, 2021 an expanded meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation was held in Moscow, at which the results of the establishment work over the past year were summed up and tasks for 2021 were set.

The event was attended by the representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Federation Council, State Duma, Accounts Chamber, Prosecutor’s Office, Medical Community and all constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation M.V. Mishustin addressed the audience with a welcoming word. Noting the importance of actively introducing digital methods into the healthcare system, improving the quality and availability of medical care for our citizens, Mikhail Vladimirovich drew particular attention to the need for medical rehabilitation development. “It is important not only to increase its volume, but to develop new methods and directions for restoring health, including for patients who have suffered a coronavirus infection,” the Chairman noted.

Minister of Health of the Russian Federation M.A. Murashko presented a report on the work results of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in 2020 and the prospects for the development of the sector. He announced the need to make decisions aimed at ensuring the readiness of the national health care system of Russia for new challenges. So, it is necessary to develop and implement an integrated system “Infectious Diseases”, to modernize the rehabilitation system for patients, including those affected by complications from coronavirus disease.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Tatiana Golikova informed the participants of the collegium about the key tasks facing the Government in the field of healthcare.
