March 26 – Day of patients with epilepsy.

This disease is a serious social problem, as the lack of information about epilepsy contributes to misunderstanding, fear of symptoms in others and discrimination of patients.

Lavender is the international color of epilepsy. Purple is thought to have a beneficial effect on the nervous system, reducing anxiety, phobias and fears.

For the purpose of promoting awareness, students – volunteers of Kursk Medical University organized the “Purple Day” campaign. Students handed out leaflets with detailed information about first aid for patients with epilepsy and a symbol – a purple ribbon in the streets of the city, polyclinics and places of temporary residence of refugees from the DPR and LPR.
