Medical University – this is now the name of the public transport stop located on Perekalsky street. All bus and tram routes connecting the center of Kursk with the Zheleznodorozhny district run through it in both directions.
The stop is located near the intersection of Perekalsky and Yamskaya streets. Previously, the stop was called “ul. K. Blinova”. The renaming happened due to the fact that the stop point is located near the largest university in the region. Today, about 8 thousand students, including foreign ones, study at Kursk State Medical University. Here, medical education is provided to young people from 50 countries. According to the results of authoritative ratings, KSMU is regularly recognized as the leading medical university in Russia.
