On March 27-29, 2024 in Bishkek, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the International Medical Congress of the SCO countries , and scientific and practical Congress-Forum “MIRRAKHIMOV’S READINGS” were held.
The Congress was dedicated to improving cooperation between the SCO and EAEU countries in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and non-infectious heart diseases. Modern trends in the development of cardiology and cardiac surgery in the EAEU countries were discussed. The Forum brought together scientists and specialists in the field of cardiology and cardiac surgery from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, India, as well as Georgia, Turkey and Pakistan.
The Russian delegation was represented by leading cardiologists of Russia – Academician of RAS Chuchalin A.G. (Moscow, Russia), Academician of RAS Shlyakhto E.V. (St. Petersburg, Russia), Academician of RAS Belenkov Y.N. (Moscow, Russia), Academician of RAS Golukhova E.Z. (Moscow, Russia), Academician of RAS Drapkina O.M. (Moscow, Russia) and a number of other famous professors – cardiologists.
At the congress a joint Memorandum of Cooperation between the SCO and EAEU countries on the organization of work and optimization of joint efforts in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases among the population of these countries was adopted and signed by the heads of delegations of the participating countries.
Kursk State Medical University at the Congress was represented by Professor V.P.Mikhin, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine N2, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, who acted (together with Professor A.M.Noruzbaeva, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) as a moderator of the scientific and practical symposium devoted to modern achievements in the use of adrenoreceptor blockers and cytoprotectors in the treatment and prevention of fatal complications in patients with high cardiovascular risk.
This congress is a new next step for Russia, other SCO and EAEU countries in the development of cardiologic care of these states and integration of joint efforts in this field.
