The beginning of the year is a time for planning, starting new projects and renewal. January 2024 at the International Medical Institute KSMU began with the meeting of the Student Council on Interethnic and Interfaith Issues on the theme “Summarizing the work of the Student Council on Interethnic and Interfaith Issues for 2023. About measures of promotion of intercultural and interconfessional dialog in the International Medical Institute of KSMU”. In spite of severe frosts in dormitory No. 4 more than 25 representatives of different countries of IMI KSMU gathered at the common table with hot tea. Students from India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Brazil, Nigeria, Botswana, South Africa, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan discussed issues of international friendship and interaction, made common plans for 2024. During the meeting, many showed a desire to organize international sports competitions and festivals. The students shared the accumulated issues they faced in their practice, and the leaders of IMI KSMU together came to the solution of these or those problems, shared their work experience and discussed ways to improve the life for students of all countries who live in dormitories № 4 and № 5.
Foreign students have a lot of initiatives, plans, ideas for the development of interethnic relations and KSMU represented by the Rector of the University Prof. V.A.Lazarenko always supports and finds opportunities for the realization of these new ideas in life.
