Time of New Year holidays is a favorite period for children and adults. It is full of expectations of magic, fulfilment of cherished dreams, belief in the reality of miracles. Children of thorny destiny also look forward to this holiday.
In the run-up to winter school holidays the delegation headed by the rector of KSMU, deputy of Kursk Regional Duma Viktor Anatolyevich Lazarenko visited Kastorensky district. On the trip the rector was accompanied by director of the International Medical Institute of KSMU, honorary council of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Kursk, associate professor Mohamad Toufic Chahine; assistant of the rector Oksana Vladimirovna Azarenko; deputy director for general affairs of the International Medical Institute of KSMU Tatiana Fedorovna Dremina. The head of the district Aleksandr Anatolyevich Belokopytov and his deputy Nina Yurievna Golubeva joined them in Lachinovo.
The guests brought presents. They presented a big TV-set to director of Oktyabrskaya orphan boarding school for children with limited health capacities Nina Mikhailovna Usova and New Year presents for each child with kind words, New Year greetings and sincere wishes of health and all the best. It is notable that presents for children were prepared by foreign students of KSMU. Mohamad Toufic Chahine presented on his own behalf a big jar of authentic Ceylon tea, keeping warmth and aroma of faraway Sri Lanka.
Nina Mikhailovna told the guests about the progress of school children, proudly showed the potter’s studio, where kids prepare handicrafts for New Year fun-fair – bright horseshoes for luck and funny bulls, symbols of the forthcoming year, which they presented to the visitors.
The delegation visited Oktyabrskaya secondary school as well. They presented to the principal of the institution Vladimir Aleksandrovich Yakushev promotional gifts for school children – KSMU branded USB flash drives, notepads, pens and also 500 face masks and sanitizers. “We understand, how important it is to follow all the safe measures in order to preserve life and health. It is necessary to think not only about ourselves, but also about our parents and grandparents and not to put them in danger”, told Viktor Anatolyevich Lazarenko.
