✅Students from India of IMI KSMU with the support of the University administration and the Council for Interethnic and Interfaith Affairs of KSMU celebrated the national festival of Onam and Navaratri.
✅This festival has ancient roots and is associated with harvest celebrations.
In spite of its thousand-year journey, the festival of Onam and Navaratri is celebrated in all corners of India even nowadays. There are about two thousand students from different countries studying at KSMU, who, being away from their homeland, have an opportunity to celebrate national and religious festivals.
✅ This time the festival united more than 400 students from India.
The festival began with a common prayer to the Mother Goddess with an offering of gifts in the form of fruits, then everyone joined together in a common circle for a ritual dance. The festival was full of dances and national games. The event ended with a disco to loud Indian rhythms.
IMI students of KSMU thank the University and KSMU management for warm attitude and opportunity to celebrate national holidays.
