On October 21, 2022, the rector of KSMU held a meeting with foreign students on security measures in the Kursk region, related to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of October 19, 2022 No. 757 “On measures implemented in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in connection with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of October 19, 2022 No. 756”.

The meeting was attended by the Rector of KSMU Professor V.A. Lazarenko, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities and General Affairs Associate Professor V.P. Gavrilyuk, Vice-Rector for Medical Activity and Continuing Education Director of ICE N.S. Mescherina, Director of the International Medical Institute Associate Professor  M.T. Chahine,  as well as administration and employees of the IMI.

Victor Anatolyevich began his speech with a question to students: “Have you noticed any changes in the last six months: in the educational process, food, transport support and in the city life in general?” All students unanimously answered NO!

Victor Anatolyevich Lazarenko explained the peculiarities of the current situation: educational institutions of Kursk, shops, industrial enterprises, restaurants, clubs work as usual, there are no combat actions in the city. The administration of the university is constantly in touch with the administration of the city and region, representatives of diplomatic missions of different countries. At the same time, the rector noted the words of the Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit, voiced at the meeting of the regional headquarters, that the Kursk region has taken enough measures to protect public order and ensure public safety, facilities that ensure the vital activities of the population, functioning of transport and communications.

Viktor Anatolyevich informed students that all necessary security measures are fully implemented at KSMU.
