One of the priority methods of the state policy is ensuring the availability of legal information, developing a system of legal education and keeping the citizens informed.

On January 29, 2021 Kursk State Medical University organised an educational meeting of foreign students and law enforcement officers of the Kursk Region on four main areas of crime prevention. The meeting was held in the format of a video conference.

The meeting was attended by: Senior Operative of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption (DoESaAC) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk Police Major Zakharina Svetlana Igorevna, Senior operative officer for the Department of Internal Affairs of the Department for Drug Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk region Employee of the Center for Countering Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk region Lobova Olga Aleksandrovna, Senior operative of the Center for Countering Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk region Matyukhina Natalia Nikolayevna, Inspector of special assignments of the Department of migration registration and the issuance of visas and invitations of the Department of licensing and visa work of the Office of Migration Affaires of the Ministry of Internal Affaires of Russia in Kursk region Batochko Olga Vladimirovna, Assistant to the Rector for Security Saltanov Alexander Ivanovich, Director of the International Medical Institute Chahine Mohamad Toufic, Deputy Director for General affairs of the International medical Institute Dremina Tatiana Fyodorovna.

The event counted about a thousand foreign students of KSMU from the first to the sixth year from various countries, including the students who are currently abroad.

Foreign students were informed about the main illegal activities in the field of drug trafficking, migration legislation, economic crimes, cases of extremist manifestations, participation in unauthorized rallies, as well as about the types of responsibility for illegal actions.

Director of the International Medical Institute M. T. Shehine strongly recommended the foreign students to comply with the Russian legislation and follow the recommendations of law enforcement officials.
