The event takes place in the Kursk Oncological Research and Clinical Center named after G. E. Ostroverkhov on June 18-19, 2021.

The participants of the conference were welcomed by the Governor of the Kursk Region R. V. Starovoit, General Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMRC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Director of the P. A. Herzen Moscow Research Institute, Chief freelance oncologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A. D. Kaprin; Rector of KSMU, Professor V. A. Lazarenko and Chief Physician of the Kursk Oncological Research and Clinical Center, Professor of the Department of Oncology U. S. Stanoevich.

They focused on the successes achieved in the oncology service of the region in recent years, which were achieved largely due to the effective interaction of the Kursk Medical University and practical health care.

This event became a platform for discussing topical issues of modern oncology, organizing cancer services during the new coronavirus pandemic, considering the introduction and dissemination of modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms in the regions, where they targeted issues in the field of: oncourology, oncogynecology, head and neck tumors, oncomammology, oncoproctology, thoracic surgery, skin, bone, soft tissue tumors, as well as modern chemotherapy, and covered immunotherapy.

On the first day, more than 700 people took part in the conference.
