Today – on September 8 – in Pharmaceutical building of KSMU, the student canteen started its work. The rector of KSMU Professor Viktor Anatolyevich Lazarenko, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of structural units and, of course, students were present at the grand opening!
– Today we’re not opening, but “reopening” a canteen, – Victor Anatolyevich Lazarenko noted in his welcome speech. We have a great team of cooks led by the head Alla Igorevna Gorbunova, who launched our nutrition center in a fairly short time again. Therefore, we celebrate a holiday at KSMU today, because it is important to feed students, after all, their performance, health and beauty depend on healthy eating.
The rector presented an umbrella with the logo of Kursk State Medical University to the head of the canteen as a gift so that the “weather” was always good within their team. And it wasn’t the only surprise that day! Viktor Lazarenko invited the first-year student of the Faculty of Dentistry Camilla Karabekova to cut the symbolic ribbon with him and presented her a gift – free lunches for a week.
“I appreciated the variety of the menu: 7-8 salads, two types of hot meals, good selection of meat dishes,” Alesya Anatolyevna Kuznetsova shared her impressions. – Having evaluated the assortment, I decided to try pancakes with apple. Very tasty! One of the advantages is that cash and non-cash payments are accepted here. In short, we really hope that our students will like the canteen after the “reopening”.
– I visit the canteen of KSMU since 1971, and the food here has always been tastier and cheaper, than in other eating establishments. And it is very important for students, – the dean of medical and pediatric faculties Vladimir Vasilyevich Kharchenko emphasized.
– We just came to have lunch with our groupmates, and here is such a pleasant surprise from the rector! I am very grateful for this gift, – said the freshman Camilla Karabekova. – As for favorite dishes, I prefer salads and pastries.
As the rector noted, there were plans to open a buffet in Pharmaceutical building, as well as a food outlet in the Medical and Pharmaceutical College of KSMU. The canteen will be open every day from 10.00am to 05.00pm except Saturday and Sunday.
