On May 15, 2022, a traditional annual event for applicants was held – “KSMU Open Day”. The meeting brought together students of general education organizations, graduates of professional educational organizations, their parents, teachers from Kursk, Belgorod, Orel, Lipetsk, Bryansk, Tula, Murmansk, Moscow regions. The event was held in a remote format with a broadcast on the Youtube platform. Our guests got acquainted with the prospects of student life with great interest by watching a film about the university and the Anatomical Theater, a virtual excursion to the Museum of the History of KSMU and studying the materials of the special issue of the newspaper “Vesti Kursk Medical University”.
Rector of Kursk State Medical University, Professor Viktor Anatolyevich Lazarenko addressed the assembled guests with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he spoke about the peculiarities of studying at the university, employment of graduates, international cooperation and prospects for the development of the university. Viktor Anatolyevich also noted that KSMU is one of the best universities in Russia, occupying leading places in international rankings, known for its outstanding graduates, having excellent opportunities for research, professional growth, personal development and wished everyone good luck and creative success.
The audience was greatly interested in the speech of the first deputy executive secretary of the admissions committee Olga Mikhailovna Shepeleva, who spoke about the requirements for applicants, deadlines, benefits, admission rules for specialties and areas of higher and secondary vocational education implemented at KSMU.
In her speech, the head of the center for pre-university training of KSMU Svetlana Valeryevna Cherney told about the preparatory programs implemented at the university, including summer preparatory courses that will operate from June 14, 2022 and are especially necessary for those who will participate in entrance tests conducted in the form of testing at the university.
A separate time was devoted to answering the questions of applicants and their parents. All participants received comprehensive answers from representatives of the University administration to all their questions.
