The objectives of the annual Interfax National University Ranking study are to evaluate the activities of a modern Russian university that meets the best international standards; to develop a communication channel between the academic community of the country and mass audiences; to search for new methods and technologies for evaluating the activities of institutions in the field of education, research and development, innovative development, and social development.
“The results of the rating reflect the positive growth of a number of federal and regional universities in such key parameters as scientific and educational activities, academic cooperation, brand and innovation. Also this year, universities participating in the Priority 2030 program demonstrate high performance and prospects for further development,” said Alexey Gorshkov, First Deputy General Director of the Interfax Group.
In total, the NRU-2022 project assessed the activities of 358 universities in Russia. The rating includes all the country’s status universities: 29 national research universities, 10 federal, 33 reference and 101 universities participating in the Priority 2030 program. The activities of 4 governmental and 7 non-governmental universities were also evaluated.
