The monitoring of the quality of admission to the universities of the Russian Federation has been carried out since 2009. Currently, this is the eleventh edition of the rating. In 2021, monitoring covered 838 universities, including 404 head state universities, 345 branches and 89 non-state universities. The study was organized by the National Research University of Higher School of Economics in partnership with the “Social Navigator” MIA “Russia Today”, and was supported by the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. As part of the rating, the quality of admission is assessed only in the areas of undergraduate training and full-time specialist studies.

The average Unified State Examination score for the budgetary form of education is 73.5.

The average Unified State Examination score for the commercial form of education is 61.3.

In the ranking of budgetary admissions in 2021, among universities with a recruitment of more than 300 people for budgetary places, KSMU took:

  • the 71th place in overall rating;
  • the 22nd place among medical in Russia;
  • the 1st place among the universities of the city of Kursk.

In the rating assessment of commercial admission in 2021 among universities with a recruitment of more than 100 people for paid places, KSMU took:

  • the 216th place in overall rating;
  • the 4th place among medical universities in Russia;
  • the 1st place among the universities of the city of Kursk.
