On April 12-13, 2024 anniversary International Conference “V Spring Oncology Online Marathon” was organized by the Association of Oncologists of Russia, as well as CIS countries – Belarus and Tajikistan is held. The event annually brings together up to 5000 participants from the CIS and non-CIS countries. The participants were welcomed by the Chief Oncologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Academician A. D. Kaprin, the Chief Oncologist of Belarus S. L. Polyakov and the Chief Oncologist of Belarus S. L. Poliakov. L. Polyakov and Chief Oncologist of Tajikistan Z. H. Huseynzoda.
Employees of the Oncology Department of KSMU traditionally took part in the conference. . Khvostovoy made a report at the section “Tumors of the head and neck”, and also together with his Belarusian colleague Alexander Gennadievich Zhukovets as a chairman held the section “Tumors of skin, bones and soft tissues”, where the assistant of the department Klementieva Alena Igorevna made two reports on modern high-tech methods of diagnosis and treatment of melanoma. Reports of Kursk oncologists were highly appreciated by Russian and foreign colleagues. Also the organizing committee expressed its gratitude to Vladimir Vladimirovich, who for the fifth time in a row is the chairman of the section of this large-scale enterprise.
