From November 10 to 12, 2022, Moscow hosted the traditional annual Forum of Pediatric Surgeons of Russia with international participation, organized by the Russian Association of Pediatric Surgeons, which was attended by Vice-Rector for Educational Activity and General Affairs, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatrics of ICE V.P. Gavrilyuk and Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatrics of ICE D.A. Severinov.

The Forum of Pediatric Surgeons of Russia is the largest scientific and practical event dedicated to discussing topical issues of treatment of pediatric patients with various nosologies requiring surgical care. The Forum of Pediatric Surgeons is a platform for the exchange of experience, analysis of complex clinical observations and results of original clinical studies, further opportunities for the introduction of new treatment methods and performing surgical interventions.

As part of the symposium “Rare Gastrointestinal Anomalies in Children Older Than the Newborn Period”, colleagues presented a report on the description of the clinical observation of a child with a rare gastrointestinal malformation at Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital: “Doubling of Stomach and Duodenum, Complicated by Perforation.” In addition, the staff of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatrics of ICE took an active part in the round table “Teaching Pediatric Surgery in Russia”, where they shared the features of teaching the Pediatric Surgery discipline to students in specialist’s degree and residency programs.
