17-19 April in Moscow at the National Research Medical Centre for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov. The III All-Russian Congress with international participation “Right to Life” took place in Moscow. It was one of the largest multidisciplinary events in Russia in the field of postgraduate education for doctors: obstetricians-gynaecologists, reproductologists, oncogynaecologists, anaesthesiologists-anesthesiologists, paediatricians, geneticists, adrologists-urologists, ultrasound physicians, general practitioners, etc., – all those who give the right to life and give the opportunity to realise it. Traditionally, the Congress programme includes a block of events for neonatologists.

More than 1000 specialists from the regions of the Russian Federation, near and far abroad countries took part in the Congress. During three days the issues of reduction of maternal and infant mortality, massive obstetric haemorrhages, septic complications of gestation, problems of preservation of male and female fertility, genetic screening of newborns and preclinical diagnostics of orphan diseases were considered.

The representative of KSMU at the Congress was the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Dr. Oksana Ivanova, who spoke at the plenary session with the report of the clinical case of organ-preserving tactics in massive obstetric haemorrhage caused by placenta accrete spectrum.The approaches to the management of patients with placenta accreta were highly appreciated by the congress participants.
