On June 24, 2021, the Department of Polyclinic Therapy and General Medical Practice of the Kursk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation together with the Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention of the Health Committee of the Kursk Region held an interregional scientific and practical conference “Maintaining a healthy lifestyle of the population-a condition for successfully solving the tasks of the National Projects” Healthcare “and “Demography” in a remote format on the ZOOM platform.
The head of the Department of Polyclinic Therapy and General Medical Practice, Associate Professor N. V. Medvedev, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the high practical significance of the problems that were to be discussed during the conference.
According to the conference program, teachers of the Kursk State Medical University and employees of the OBZ “Center for Medical Prevention” presented 15 reports on the problem of early detection and technologies for timely and effective correction of risk factors for the most common chronic non-communicable diseases by following a healthy lifestyle, including in epidemiologically unfavorable conditions, as well as the role of healthcare workers in solving them.
Professor of the Department of Polyclinic Therapy and OVP L. I. Svety presented an analysis of the results of the study of the problem of maintaining a healthy lifestyle of KSMU students. In continuation of the topic, the chief doctor of the RBHI “TSOZMP” L. F. Uvarova highlighted the issue of forming a system of motivation of citizens to a healthy lifestyle in the Kursk region. Associate Professor N. V. Medvedev introduced the audience to modern strategies and technologies for maintaining a healthy lifestyle of the population from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine, emphasized the role of KSMU in maintaining the healthy lifestyle of employees.
The analysis of the results of the medical examination of certain groups of the adult population in the Kursk region in 2019-2020 was presented by the deputy chief physician for the prevention of RBHI “TSOZMP” Lyalikov A.V.
The report of the head of the Department of Oncology, Associate Professor V. V. Khvostovoy on the influence of smoking on the development of oncological diseases and the report of the assistant of the Department of Polyclinic Therapy and RBHI A. O. Sorokina on professional stress as a risk factor for the development of psychosomatic pathology aroused great interest among the listeners and an active discussion.
The conference discussed the relevance and value of organizing a school for patients with arterial hypertension, the report was presented by Associate professor of the Department of Polyclinic Therapy and RBHI M. N. Kindras. The head of the Department of Dermatology, Professor Silina L. V., highlighted the features of dermatological manifestations of COVID-19 coronavirus infection in patients with comorbid conditions. Important messages about the need to comply with the principles of rational nutrition and physical activity, preserving the reproductive health of adolescents were prepared by residents of the Department of Polyclinic Therapy and RBHI.
Students of the Faculty of Medicine of 5-6 courses, residents of clinical departments showed a wide interest in the topic of the conference. The total number of participants was 130 people.
The conference was held at a decent level, highly appreciated by the staff of the departments and students, directions for further work in finding solutions to the problems of effective organization of preventive work at the level of primary health care were outlined.
