A trip to the Korennaya village has long been a good tradition for IMI KSMU Students. This is not just an excursion, but a real journey into the world of Russian history and culture.

Students not only inspected the monastery territory, but also visited its holy springs, and walked along the picturesque park with the embankment. IMI KSMU teachers, O.S. Strelkova and M.K. Luneva, told about the role of the Korennaya Desert in the context of Russian spirituality, the life of the venerable Seraphim of Sarov and other prominent figures associated with this place.

Such trips not only broaden the horizons of future doctors, but also help them to better understand the Russian mentality, to imbue respect for the history and culture of the country in which they are studying, as well as to practice communicating with native Russian speakers in an informal setting.

The trip to the Korennaya Desert always leaves unforgettable impressions on the students.
