On December 8, 2022, students and teachers of the International Medical Institute of KSMU became participants of the “International Culinary Forum – 2022”.
Within the framework of this event, students from around the world told about the history of traditional and festive authentic dishes, culinary traditions of their countries, gastronomic habits and preferences, step-by-step demonstrated the process of cooking dishes of national cuisines of Malaysia, Myanmar, South Africa, took part in a quiz about traditional dishes of Russia. Special attention was paid to the section devoted to spices, which not only give piquancy to dishes, but also have a positive effect on health.
For several weeks, under the guidance of teachers, students prepared presentations, videos and made comments on them. The result of this work was a truly “delicious” holiday, at which everyone present could learn how to cook dishes that, perhaps, they had not even heard of before: nasi lemak, gulai, pan mee and others.
