September 30 is a special day for the Republic of Botswana. KSMU International Medical Institute students celebrated Botswana’s Independence Day and held a creative evening in the student square of KSMU. Vice-Rector for Educational Work, Social Development, and Public Relations, A. A. Kuznetsova, Director of IMI M.T. Chahine, and other guests came to congratulate the students. Botswana Students shared the history of the holiday and highlighted the major milestones in the development of their country. Botswana Traditional songs and poems were performed, the audience was presented with amazing African dances and a fashion show. A gift from KSMU was also presented by Nikulin Nikita, with his performance of the song “Smile”. The celebration turned out to be very warm and homely, as Russia has become a second home for many students from different countries. The Rector of KSMU, V. A. Lazarenko, congratulates Botswana on Independence Day and wishes everyone peace and prosperity.
