Dear employees, students!

I congratulate you on a public holiday – Russia Day!

Day of Russia is the main holiday of our Motherland, a country with a rich history, great cultural, spiritual and military heritage.

This holiday is a symbol of statehood based on the ideals of democracy, freedom and justice. It personifies unity and common responsibility for the present and future of the Fatherland. Love for the Motherland is the deepest, most significant and noble idea that Russians pass their children and grandchildren. Love for the Motherland unites us, wherever we live or work.

Today Russia is a strong, prosperous nation that carefully preserves its richest traditions. The main wealth of the country lies in its citizens: smart, talented, proactive, hardworking, progressive-minded, striving for new heights. We are proud that Kursk State Medical University prepares highly qualified specialists, teaches students everything that contributes to the preservation of human health, new advances in medicine and clinical practice.

The strength of a country is made up of the strength of its regions. Our small homeland – the Kursk land – is confidently moving along the path of creation. The Kursk Territory is glorified by the labor, scientific, cultural and sporting achievements of its residents, for whom civicism and patriotism are true values. Each of us has a contribution to our common achievements.

I wish all of us success in kindly acts for the good of the state, the implementation of all plans, inspiration, good health, happiness!

May there always be peace and harmony in our country!

Happy Russia Day!

 V.A. Lazarenko,

Rector of KSMU, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor,

Deputy of the Kursk Regional Duma of the VI convocation, Honorary Citizen of Kursk

Today we celebrate the Day of Russia – a day of special pride for our country, its rich history and wonderful people, including those who have made and are making a huge contribution to the development of education, making an effort to ensure that every child in our country receives a decent education and upbringing, could develop talents and strive for their dreams.

Love for the Motherland unites us, wherever we live, wherever we go to study and work. It is always in our heart, gives us strength and inspiration. In this love – the first lessons with the first teacher, the last bell, and for the teachers – memories of all the students, interesting moments that they experienced with them, opening the world for them. Love for the Motherland unites our aspirations, successes, realized plans, good feelings for those who are next to us. We are Russia.

I wish all of us to draw energy for ourselves in sincere love for Russia. Let this feeling fill us day after day with joy, inspiration, give an incentive to invest as much as possible in the chosen business or creativity, because what we do is also a small but part of Russian history and affects its future. Therefore, I wish all of us to be responsible to ourselves and our country, because every our success and achievement is its victory as well!
