On September 7th, International students of Kursk State Medical University from Malaysia took a tour of Kursk’s city center, organized by the International Medical Institute. The tour was planned as the first introduction to the city, especially the places important for the students’ daily life. The goal was to help the students adapt to the new sociocultural environment.

Tour began in KSMU classrooms, library, reading room, and gym. Then around KSMU: they visited the “Central Park” shopping center, where they can make necessary shopping, the Northern Market, and the “Halal” cafes.

The tour was a walk along the main street of the city – Lenin Street. Aquatinted with the main attractions of the city center: the A.S. Pushkin Drama Theater, the “Trudovye Rezervy” stadium, the N.N. Aseev Library, Red Square, the Pervomaiskiy Park, the Znamensky Cathedral, and the Local History Museum. The international students learned a lot new about the city, its history and culture.
