As part of the preventive work carried out by the International Medical Institute of KSMU to promote and ensure fire safety, training and preparation of students for emergency situations, on March 2, 2023, a meeting was held at Kursk State Medical University with foreign students who arrived for studying in Kursk, with the senior state inspector of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kursk region Alyabyev G.A. and employees of the Fire and Integrated Safety Department of KSMU.

Within the framework of the meeting, foreign students were informed about the rules of safe behavior on water bodies in the winter period, about the peculiarities of ice thickness on rivers, about the need to comply with the rules of behavior in case of falling under the ice and frostbite.

Specialist on fire prevention N.V. Volokhova highlighted the general rules and requirements for fire prevention and evacuation actions in case of fire in residential and administrative buildings, rules of conduct in various emergencies, as well as safety requirements for the operation of electrical appliances.

The university administration encourages foreign students to follow the recommendations of specialists and refrain from visiting rivers and reservoirs.
