On November 28, 2024, students and faculty of the International Medical Institute of KSMU participated in the traditional culinary competition “Gastronomic Etude.”

During this educational and entertaining event, four teams of students from Malaysia, Thailand, the Maldives, India, and Sri Lanka shared the culinary traditions of their countries, their gastronomic habits and preferences, demonstrated dishes from their national cuisines, and presented step-by-step cooking processes, sharing recipes. Additionally, the audience enjoyed songs and poems on culinary themes in Russian.

There were also contests and fun tasks. A quiz on Russian dishes sparked particular excitement and enthusiasm, as each correct answer earned a sweet prize. And of course, friendship prevailed.

At the “tasty” celebration, everyone present had the opportunity to learn how to cook dishes they may not have heard of before.
