On April 27, 2024 the Head of the Oncology Department, Candidate of Medical Sciences Khvostovoy Vladimir Vladimirovich visited Fergana State Medical Institute of Public Health, where he was received by the Rector Professor Sidikov Akmal Abdukahirovich in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Our universities have long and effective cooperation, but further ways of development of relations in the field of oncology and urology are planned. Then Vladimir Vladimirovich visited two buildings of the Institute, got acquainted with the staff and students, the dean’s office of the International Faculty. Later Vladimir Vladimirovich went to Fergana Regional Oncological Hospital, where he got acquainted with the management, doctors, staff and students of the Department of Urology, presented a report on KSMU and a lecture on the achievements of the Kursk oncological school, conducted clinical rounds in the departments of thoracoabdominal oncology and head and neck tumors, clinical analysis of several complex patients, where he helped his colleagues to make optimal decisions.
As a result, oncologists from Fergana expressed their deep respect for KSMU, expressing hope for further development of professional relations with opportunities for academic exchanges of students, residents and teachers, as well as the possibility of on-the-job training in Kursk. Rector of Fergana Medical State Institute of Public Health conveyed words of gratitude and birthday greetings to Rector of KSMU Prof. V.A.Lazarenko.
