✅ On August 9th, the “International Artist’s Day” was celebrated in Kursk – a holiday that was invented by the artist Oleg Radi almost 30 years ago.
✅ On the eve of the holiday, on August 5th and 8th, students from Malaysia, Botswana, Brazil, Nigeria, and India who study at IMI KSMU visited the Kursk State Art Gallery named after A.A. Deineka and the personal exhibition of Igor Torshenkov – an abstract artist, a member of the International Association of “Art of the Peoples of the World”, and a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.
✅ For international students, the sound of the flute and singing bowls surrounded by extraordinary colorful works filled the air. The art gallery showcased the artistic works and graphics of the renowned Kursk artist A.A. Deineka, as well as a collection of estate portraits from the late 18th to the 19th century. The students were thrilled by a game in which they had to assemble complete paintings by A.A. Deineka from individual fragments.
