On the territory of the city polyclinic №1 named after N.S. Korotkov, an art object “Heart on Podium” appeared as a sign of gratitude to doctors and volunteers of the #WeAreTogether volunteer movement.

The art object was made in Moscow for the regions where volunteers of the #WeAreTogether All-Russian campaign actively worked.

Exactly a year ago, during the pandemic, volunteer headquarters in Kursk region began to provide comprehensive assistance to medical workers and residents of the region. Students of KSMU made an invaluable contribution to the fight against the new coronavirus infection. They delivered food and medicine, distributed masks, and took doctors on calls to patients. Deputy Governor of Kursk Region Jury Knyazev, Chairman of the Youth Policy Committee of Kursk Region Sergey Kotlyarov, acting Vice-rector for Educational Activity and Public relations of KSMU Alesya Kuznetsova, chief doctor of the hospital Olga Tutova thanked the volunteers for their personal involvement, sincerity, contribution to the fight against coronavirus infection.

The volunteers tied orange ribbons symbolizing the colors of the #WeAreTogether campaign at the art object and distributed oranges to patients and doctors.
