To date, the WHO estimates the proportion of children with mental health problems globally at about 20 percent, and recent special studies in Europe estimate between 14 and 23 percent, depending on age group and gender. A number of domestic studies indicate a higher prevalence of neuropsychiatric diseases among schoolchildren, a significant prevalence of asthenic-neurotic and depressive disorders, phobias and anxiety, as well as a higher incidence of pathocharacterological adolescent reactions and personality disorders in general and high (about 70%) intellectual and physical fatigue. There is also an increase in suicidal behaviour among adolescents.
The problems of various aspects of health in the educational process will be considered on October 20, 2022 at the Regional Scientific and Practical Conference “Psychology of Health in the Educational Process”.
For Kursk Medical University, the organization of the conference is a contribution to the implementation of the federal project “Strengthening Public Health” within the framework of the national project “Demography”. Research scientists, school principals, doctors, psychologists will take part in the discussion of the factors of preservation of mental health of students and schoolchildren, problems of teacher training, effective technologies used today in educational institutions of the Kursk region.
