The solemn meeting dedicated to the 45th anniversary graduation of foreign students in “General Medicine” specialty was held on July 5, 2021 in compliance with all the necessary sanitary standards.

                     210 graduates from India, Malaysia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Vietnam, Thailand, Namibia, the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ecuador received medical diplomas. All students have successfully passed state certification.

                     The event was attended by: Rector of KSMU, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Surgery of the Institute of Continuing Education, Deputy of the Kursk Regional Duma of the VI convocation, Honorary Citizen of Kursk V.A. Lazarenko; Vice-Rector for Educational Activity and General Affairs, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatrics of the Institute of Continuing Education, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor V.P. Gavrilyuk; Vice-Rector for Continuing Education and International Cooperation – Director of the Institute of Continuing Education, Head of the Department of Internal Diseases No. 1, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor N.S. Meshcherina; Director of the International Medical Institute, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor M.T. Chahine; Deputy Director for General Issues of IMI T.F. Dremina; Deputy Head of the Educational Department of IMI, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor G.N. Goryainova; employees and students of KSMU.

                     In his welcoming speech, the rector of KSMU V.A. Lazarenko addressed the graduates as full-fledged colleagues, congratulating them and their parents on receiving medical diplomas, and wished them to treat their profession responsibly, love patients and study medicine through all their lives.

                    The director of the International Medical Institute, Chahine Mohamad Toufic, congratulated the graduates on being awarded “General Practitioner” qualification and wished them successful work in their homeland, having noted that the students have become one big family over the years, being united by Alma Mater. May this friendship continue beyond the borders of the university that has become their home!

                   Traditionally, the event ended with taking the Physician’s Oath by the graduates and a musical gift from the rector and graduates of the International Medical Institute of KSMU!
