On March 13, 2026, students of the International Medical Institute of KSMU took part in the vibrant international festival “Mărțișor,” organized by the Moldovan community of the Kursk region.

👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 Students from India, Sri Lanka, and African countries joined the celebration. For many, it was their first encounter with Moldovan traditions and the diverse cultural heritage of Russia and beyond — and it left a truly inspiring impression.

🎨 The festival featured:
• An exhibition of Moldovan culture with national costumes, handicrafts, and traditional “Mărțișor” ornaments
• A мастер-class on creating symbolic red-and-white thread dolls
• A концерт program with performances by folk groups from Kursk and the region

💃 A special highlight was a traditional Sri Lankan dance performed by KSMU students, symbolizing cultural richness, mutual respect, and openness. The performance received enthusiastic applause and perfectly reflected the festival’s main idea — unity in diversity.

🤝 The “Mărțișor” festival became more than just a cultural event. It created a space for meaningful interaction, helped international students adapt through creativity, and showcased the Kursk region as a place open to global cooperation.

✨ Mărțișor became a bright celebration of friendship and culture for everyone.
