As part of the sociocultural adaptation program, on December 9, 2025, the Department of Sociocultural Adaptation of IMI KSMU organized a volunteer clean-up event in the Heroes of the Civil War Park. A total of 53 international students took part.

Students from India learned about the history of Kursk, the importance of memorial complexes and landmarks, and the meaning of the Eternal Flame. Future doctors were once again reminded of the rules of conduct when visiting memorial sites.

Armed with rakes, brooms, and shovels, IMI KSMU students worked together to clear the area around the Eternal Flame from fallen autumn leaves.
Such activities help international students develop respect for the history, culture, and traditions of Russia — and make our city of Kursk cleaner and more beautiful.
