On September 26, 2025, the results of the Round University Rankings (RUR) subject rankings were published. RUR is one of the leading international university rankings and has been publishing results since 2010. The evaluation is based on four main areas of university performance: education (40%), research (40%), international activity (10%), and financial sustainability (10%) — a total of 20 indicators. The RUR subject rankings assess the performance of leading universities worldwide across six broad subject areas: Humanities, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences, and Social Sciences. All universities are evaluated according to the same 20 indicators and 4 key areas of activity as in the RUR World University Rankings. Kursk State Medical University has once again confirmed its strong positions in the subject areas: • Medical Sciences: 6th place among medical universities in Russia 502nd place worldwide • Humanities: 24th place in Russia 533rd place worldwide • Social Sciences: 29th place in Russia 620th place worldwide • Technical Sciences: 24th place in Russia 619th place worldwide
