On June 6, 2025, Muslim believers – staff and students of Kursk State Medical University – celebrated one of the most significant and bright holidays, Kurban Bayram (or Eid al-Adha). This blessed day embodies compassion, unity, self-sacrifice, and spiritual purification, reminding us of the importance of faith, goodness, and compassion.
On the evening of June 5, 2025, Muslim students from Russia and the International Medical Institute of KSMU, hailing from Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, African countries, India, Malaysia, and other parts of the world gathered together for the Namaz prayer and a festive dinner. On the eve of this sacred Friday, many students observed fasting as a sign of purification and a desire to draw closer to Allah. Kurban Bayram represents spiritual purification through sacrifice and compassion. On this day, the believing Muslim students greeted each other with smiles, hugs, and wishes of goodness and peace.
