On June 3, 2024, a solemn graduation ceremony was held in the anatomical theater of the Kursk State Medical University (KSMU), where the first graduates of the bachelor of sciences (Health sciences – Health profession) from the KSMU International Medical Institute received their diplomas from Charisma University.
Since 2021, KSMU has been implementing joint educational programs with Charisma University, offering additional diploma degrees: a bachelor of science after completing the 4th year, and a master’s degree in Public Health after completing the 6th year.
This year, the first Charisma University diplomas were awarded to 74 students from the KSMU International Medical Institute, representing Nigeria, Brazil, Malaysia, Maldives, India, Namibia, Thailand, Benin, Botswana, Ghana, South Africa, Cameroon, and Zimbabwe.
KSMU Rector, Professor V.A. Lazarenko, presented the diplomas to the KSMU International Medical Institute students and wished them to never stop striving for new knowledge and to become highly qualified medical specialists.
The graduation ceremony was attended by the State Minister of Health of Sri Lanka, Arambepola Sita Kumari, who highlighted the high level of training at KSMU and appreciated the opportunity for students to obtain an additional specialty related to their future profession.
The bachelor of science degree in healthcare provides graduates with a versatile and solid foundation for a wide range of career opportunities in the healthcare field. Whether they work directly with patients, manage healthcare services, conduct research, or pursue further education, the opportunities are extensive and promising. As healthcare continues to evolve and expand, the demand for knowledgeable and qualified healthcare professionals will remain high, ensuring a rewarding and meaningful career for new graduates.
