On June 1, 2024 Kursk State Medical University started the evenings of reunions of graduates of anniversary dates of graduation from the university. In the lecture room No. 4 of the pharmaceutical building the graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy of KSMU of 1989 met.
The organizer of the event was the head of the course Voropaeva (Nesterenko) Valentina Nikolaevna, now – associate professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical, Toxicological and Analytical Chemistry, Candidate of Pharmacy. On behalf of the administration of KSMU Valentina Nikolaevna addressed with a welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting, told about the activities of the University on training of personnel for practical pharmacy, health care and other areas of the labor market, as well as successes in science, educational work, volunteer mission, sports, creativity and other achievements of students and students of KSMU.
From 298 people graduated in 1989, 52 graduates took part in the meeting, many of whom are heads of pharmacy chains, pharmacy directors, experts of TO Roszdravnadzor in Kursk region. For example, Spichak (Nikolaeva) I.V. – executive director of the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices, Doctor of Pharmacy, professor, academician; Garanina (Khomyakova) T.V. – founder of the pharmacy chain “Zdorovye” (Kursk). Some alumni pass their experience to the students in the field of education, among them – Tyumentseva (Trubina) L.V. – teacher of pharmacology of the State Educational Institution “Lipetsk Medical College”, Smakhtin M.Y. – professor of the Department of Biological Chemistry of KSMU.
It is worth mentioning that after 1-2 years of study at the institute the guys were drafted into the Soviet Army, and upon completion of their service they continued their studies at the university, graduating a couple of years after their colleagues, but they are inextricably linked by friendship with their native course.
