On May 25, 2024 an interactive practical meeting organized by the International Medical Institute of KSMU, the Department of Internal Medicine №1 and the community of Malaysian students of KSMU was held in the auditorium №4 of the pharmaceutical building of KSMU. The aim of the event was to develop medical competencies of foreign students.
Isah Kakarama Abdulnafiu, assistant of the Department of Internal Medicine №1, told the students in an interactive form about the main principles of electrocardiography (ECG), how to correctly decipher ECG in norm and pathology. The students from Nigeria, India, Malaysia and Brazil learned about the treatment strategies for various heart conditions and were advised on how to identify the features of each indication.
At the end of the meeting, a quiz was organized for the students, the winners of which received commemorative prizes. The students expressed their gratitude to Dr. Kakarama for his willingness to share his experience and knowledge.
